About

Ibrahim Hussain Shihab (aindhy) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Curtin University of Technology with specialisations in Film & Television and Advertising.

He has written for television, print, websites, brands, commercials, advertising, and other media.

He has also been a spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Maldives during the Yameen Administration.

He has worked with television & radio producers, brands, local & international NGOs, advertising & communications agencies, hospitality companies and at one point co-founded Cellmin Animation Studio — the studio that produces the Maakana Show where he remains a consultant.

He has been a judge — for the Maldivian Film Festival and on a Marketing themed TV reality show. He was also one third of a design team whose proposed concepts were among the final three shortlisted for the new Maldivian currency re-issue of 2016.

He has led teams and projects at TVM (PSM), CableNet (MediaNet), Cellmin Animation Studio, Wataniya (Ooredoo) and The President’s Office.

He has a keen appreciation for films, books, music, humour and all narrative media.
